The Institute of Data transforms careers and companies for a data driven world. We accelerate and develop careers through our network of education and industry partners to maximise job opportunities and promotions. Our main focus is connecting individuals to the growing big data industry with education programmes suited to professionals at all stages of their career.
Check the programme pages for dates, but the course starts straight after you enrol with the pre-work modules. The pre-work online training takes about 40 hours to complete in your own time. The formal training programmes and cohorts start every 3-6 months.
Although we do not guarantee a job, the programme is very successful to land a job in the industry with a 93% job success rate in 180 days. You can read our success stories for real world examples. We achieve these outcomes because the Institute of Data actively assists and supports members to find new employment opportunities and/or land a promotion through our network of mentors, employers, industry partners, and career advisors.
Institute of Data selects leading professionals in the industry for its training. We focus on trainers that have strong communication skills and are proficient in the practical skills used by industry.
The programme is delivered by a lead trainer, assistant trainer(s), and career coaches in real-time. Learning from an expert in a cohort setting is the most effective training method to rapidly develop practical job-ready skills.
The Programmes use competency-based assessment through the completion of labs and a final capstone project. There is no formal exam. The capstone project is a real-life project and is assessed against the Institute of Data's competency-based assessment standards set by the Academic Board.
